Toraighyrov University provided the opportunity to pass the session and the final evaluation in any convenient way, while the financial obligations towards employees and students of the university will be fulfilled completely.

About 500 students and teachers joined the live broadcast on Instagram with the participation of the rector Meiram Begentayev, which took place on April 24 at 11.00.

The examination session and final evaluation will be held in the distance educational technology (DET) mode using all the platforms recommended by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

- own E-Learning CDT platform (PSU sites psu.kz and dot.psu.kz);

- video conferencing platforms ZOOM, Google Class, Jitsi Meet, Cisco Webex Meeting;

- additionally: Telegram and WhatsApp messengers;

- written works are checked in the Turnitin system.

As the rector of the university explained, students of 1-3 courses, on the recommendation of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, will pass exams in 4 ways: written with online proctoring, online oral exam through ZOOM and similar systems, an open book exam, when the project is carried out at home, as well as through a summative assessment of knowledge - allocation of grades according to the current performance.

“For students who do not have access to the Internet and other means of communication, exams will be rescheduled for the autumn (the examination record list will have a score “ not completed ”(“ I - incomplete ”),” Meiram Begentayev added.

For the second group of students - graduates, a comprehensive exam and defense of the thesis will be conducted both in the form of an exam with an "open book" and through online defense using all available information and communication technologies.

ToU rector emphasized that financial obligations to employees and students will be fulfilled in a timely manner and completely, regardless of the conditions and duration of the emergency mode. For this, the main condition here is strict observance of the state standard in the field of education, an integral part of which is the holding of the session, comprehensive exams and the defense of theses.

For students who paid for accommodation in the hostel till the end of the academic year, we recalculated (5.8 million tenge was returned to 533 students).
