A graduate of S.Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University Roman Sklyar was appointed Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

R. Sklyar has three higher educations in the specialties “construction engineer”, “economist” and “lawyer”.

He began his career in 1989 as an assembly fitter at the “Ekibastuzugleavtomatika” organization. Over the years, Roman Sklyar worked in the administration of Pavlodar and Astana, held the positions of deputy Akim of Pavlodar region, vice-minister of transport and communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan, vice-minister for investments and development of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He was elected to the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan.

In 2018, he was appointed First Deputy Minister for Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On January 25, 2019, he was appointed Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

He was awarded the Order “Kurmet” (2010), commemorative medals “10 Years of Astana”, “20th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, the public medal of the Assembly “Kazakhstan halky assambleyasynyn kogamdyk “Birlik” altyn medali”.
