The scientific-practical conference “Tugan zher - ata-babadan kalgan uly miras” organized jointly with S.Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University was held in the village of Koktobe on the eve of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Mai district.
The event was attended by over 350 people, including akim of the May District, Ardak Kantarbayev, and the Rector of S.Toraighyrov PSU Gaukhar Akhmetova.
During the conference, experts discussed issues of the historical heritage of the Mai District, noting the significance of the spiritual and historical revival of the district, its social development.
In the welcoming speech, G. Akhmetova noted that this meeting was held in a new format of communication between the university and the districts.
“Recently, a new article by the Head of State “Seven Facets of the Great Steppe” was published. The history of the May District is one of the facets of the great history of our Kazakh people”, Gaukhar Galymovna said.
She also stressed that today the university conducts joint archeological research at the battle site between the Dzungars and the Kazakh batyrs - in the Kalmakkyrylgan mountains, fruitfully cooperates with large farms in the region.
For example, together with Akzhar-Ondiris LLP, work was carried out to create a horse plant for breeding Kazakh horses such as zhabe. At its base, the Bestau factory type and three new lines of this breed of horses were created. The only breeding farm in the republic has been organized for the breeding of Gorno-Altai wool breed goats, which currently has more than 6 thousand heads.
Following the meeting, the participants adopted a resolution. It was decided to strengthen the work on the preservation of historical heritage and the preparation of scientific projects in the study of the native land and more.
An exhibition about the history of the area and people who glorified their native land was opened in the hall for guests and participants. Everyone was able to get acquainted with the creative work of schoolchildren of the area.
The concert program by the symphony orchestra of the Pavlodar Regional Philharmonic named after I. Baizakov under the leadership of the artistic director and chief conductor Bolat Rakhimzhanov completed the meeting. A separate gift was a joint musical number of artists with the chief conductor and artistic director of the Kazakh folk instruments orchestra Talgat Karimov.
