An expanded discussion of the main aspects noted in the State of the Nation Address of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev dated October 5, 2018 “Growing welfare of Kazakh Citizens: Increase in Income and Quality of Life” was held at S.Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University.

Gaukhar Akhmetova, Rector of S. Toraighyrov PSU, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences noted that it is necessary to ensure the fulfillment of key positions indicated in the document where the university must solve its professional tasks of a radical improvement in the quality of educational services.

A significant place in the new Address was given to the training of modern personnel and strengthening the responsibility of universities.

The paradigm of today shows that integration into the world scientific and academic process as an equal participant increases the authority of the national education system. First of all, it is necessary to focus on the creation of a single competitive space for higher education. Among the integral components, there are academic mobility, double-diploma education and the involvement of foreign experts.

Pavlodar State University consistently implements the tasks set in the Address of the President.

PSU maintains stable relations with many leading universities, engages the best foreign scientists from Sweden, India, Britain, the United States, Turkey, Bulgaria and Croatia.

Our students today have the rare opportunity to get a double diploma in a number of sectors currently important at the labor market. 

The Address states that the most important criterion for evaluating the success of a university will be the employment of graduates after graduation, working for highly paid jobs, their relevance in the labor market.

It is worth noting that the increase in the average salary of a graduate of the S. Toraighyrov PSU 2017 was more than 20%; 98% of graduates are employed compared to 2016.
