Zhanbolat Meldeshov, the President of JSC “Center for International Programs” visited S.Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University.

During the visit, the guest met with students and young scientists from three universities of the region, spoke about the main directions of the Center's work, the International Scholarship of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Bolashak”, as well as the mechanism of admission and training within the program.

Greeting the audience, Gaukhar Akhmetova, the rector of Pavlodar State University, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences noted that the “Bolashak” program allows to obtain first-class international education, after which to realize the acquired skills in Kazakhstan.

The rector also stressed that the Kazakhstani experience is now being copied by other states, where such projects are just beginning their development.

Zhanbolat Meldeshov spoke about the implemented grant programs and intergovernmental agreements.

About 45 agreements on the exchange of students with such countries as the USA, Germany, France, Austria, Japan and others have been signed in the Republic of Kazakhstan

Speaking about the internationalization of higher education in Kazakhstan, Zh. Meldeshov emphasized that this is a trend that is followed by the world's leading universities.

“For the moment, 14 thousand foreign students study in Kazakhstan. Our task is to increase their number to 20 thousand by September this year”, Zh. Meldeshov said.

Following the meeting, which took place in the form of a conversation, those who wished could ask questions.

The visit was completed with a traditional tour of the museum complex and start-up academy.
