Aliya Toktasynova, a student of the Department of Zootechnology, Genetics and Selectibe Breeding, won a first-degree diploma in the direction of “Agricultural Sciences”, according to the results of the 13th International research and practice competition “Best scientific article 2017”, which was held in Penza (Russia). The scientific advisor was Candidate of Agricultural Science, Associate Professor Tolegen Shonaevich Asanbayev.
As Aliya notes, for participation in the international competition, a poorly studied topic “Reproductive qualities of the Novo-Altay breed of horses in the new breeding conditions” was chosen.
According to the student, the scientific novelty of the work is to consider the crossing of the Kazakh breed of horses of the zhabe type with the horses of the Novo-Altay breed that was produced in Pavlodar region in order to increase the live weight and milk productivity of the new species.
“Novo-Altai horses were brought from to the region the Altai Mountains, adaptive qualities of this breed were determined to our conditions. The horses of the Novo-Altay don’t bear hot climate, but they feel great during the cold season. After wintering, they almost do not reduce weight and bear the severe winters.
Crossing the Kazakh breed with the Novo-Altai horses gave a good result, especially in the crossbreeds”, "said Aliya.
Since 11 years Aliya Toktasynova professionally engaged in equestrian sports, becoming a can Candidate Master of Sports. The love of horses led her to new victories, in a scientific environment by now.
Today, together with excellent studies, Aliya continues to study at the school of equestrians of the Kulager racecourse, participates in regional and republican events of equestrian sports. She is engaged in a scientific club on horse breeding.
