S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University hosted a seminar "The role of art and education in the humanization of the society through innovative technologies".

The lecturer was Tamara Stepanskaya, Doctor of Arts, Professor of Altai State University, member of the Union of Artists of Russia.

The scientific community of the region, teachers of the university, representatives of school and preschool education from ten districts of Pavlodar region took part in the event. 

Tamara Mikhailovna gave a lecture on the methods of conducting scientific research, paying special attention to the problems of preserving the historical and cultural heritage, integration and modernization of humanitarian knowledge in the field of art. 

The cooperation of Tamara Stepanskaya with the University lasts more than ten years. Monographs and manuals were published during this time, she acts as the scientific supervisor of theses for many PSU lecturers for the “Ph.D. in Art history” degree.

The lecturer of the Department of Performing Arts, Zhanel Abdalimova, notes that in today conditions, the issues of preserving and developing of culture, the formation of a spiritually rich, integral personality are often shifted to the background.

“This fact causes some concern. Turning in the direction of humanization of the system of education and upbringing is more important than ever. It is important to study the problem of the functioning, the content of the artistic culture and the ways of its impact on the emotional and imaginative side of human thinking and the formation of the moral qualities of the individual”,  says Zh. Abdalimova.
