Solemn opening of the audience named after Honored Worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Candidate of Technical Sciences., Professor Nikolai Stepanovich Dudak took place At the Faculty of Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering and Transport of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University.

Colleagues and relatives of N. Dudak took part in the solemn event. The honorable right of opening the named audience was given to the dean of the faculty of metallurgy, engineering and transport, Candidate of Technical Sciences, professor Tuleugazy Toktaganov and Vladimir Dudak, a son of Nikolai Stepanovich. 

Greeting the guests, vice-rector for scientific work and innovations of Pavlodar State University, professor Nurlan Yerzhanov noted that Nikolai Stepanovich would celebrate his 80th anniversary this year. "He always worked with complete dedication, significantly expanded the educational and methodological base of the university, trained dozens of qualified specialists," added Nurlan Telmanovich.

Pupils and colleagues especially stressed that Nikolai Dudak was a sympathetic and talented mentor who devoted most of his life to Pavlodar State University, he did not like the formal approach to work and was always demanding of himself and others.

N. Dudak made a huge contribution to the material and technical equipment of the faculty, his personal efforts in the 90 years it was managed to save the metal-cutting equipment from looting.

Nikolai Stepanovich studied the scientific direction of new metal-cutting tools and methods for measuring the errors of elements using laser sensors. He is the author of over 400 scientific publications, 50 patents and copyright certificates. N. Dudak was awarded the Diploma of the Supreme Soviet of the Kazakh SSR, the badge "Honorary Worker of the Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan" and for the special merits for the University "Gold Medal named after S. Toraighyrov".
