The first regional round table from the series of expert meetings "Modernization 3.0: Ruhani zhangyru" was held in Pavlodar on August 29, 2017. The event was organized by the Institute of Eurasian Integration (Astana).

During the event, issues of the implementation of the "Tougan zher" project in  Pavlodar region were discussed, which is one of the 6 key projects of the Rukhani zhangyru Program.

More than 40 representatives of the scientific and expert community, NGOs and local executive bodies took part in the round table.

Deputy Akim of Pavlodar region Meiram Begentayev addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.

Head of the project of the Institute of Eurasian Integration Arman Yeshmuratov in his speech noted that the process of modernization is of a deep, national nature and requires great efforts on the part of the state and society.

"Kazakhstan has started the implementation of the unique national model of modernization. The state was given a task to enter the list of 30 developed countries of the world within the next 33 years. Its successful implementation requires maximum efforts and non-standard approaches on the part of the rule and society. An important role in this process is assigned to the scientific and expert community of Kazakhstan", A. Yeshmuratov noted.

In addition, he stressed that - "the preliminary results of sociological research started by the Institute throughout the country, demonstrate the presence of certain problems associated with understanding the nature of modernization processes among some of the population. In this regard, a comprehensive discussion of the Rukhani Zhangyru Program, its media coverage and the explanation of the activities carried out by the local executive power are an important part of the implementation of the Program".

During the event, the Chairman of the Board of the Civil Initiatives Support Center Nurlan Uteshev (Astana) made a report “On the implementation of the special project "Touchan Zher".

Also speakers of the event were: Head of the Internal Policy Department of Pavlodar region Yernur Dauenov, administrator of the regional project office of the Pavlodar region Dinara Aitzhanova, Professor of S. Toraighyrov PSU Gani Yelmuratov, deputy of Pavlodar regional maslikhat Gulmira Nurkhanova, deputy akim of Maisky district Madina Kusainova, director of the Institute of History and Culture of S. Toraighyrov PSU Kairat Battalov, captain of the "Zhasyl El" city main office Orazali Sarsembayev.

The participants of the round table noted the importance of meetings of such format for comprehensive expert discussion, elaboration of offers and a qualitative implementation of the Rukhani zhagyru Program.
