A creative evening devoted to the 70th anniversary of the prominent scientist, Academician of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Pedagogy, Professor Yengilik Zhumatayeva was held at S. Toraighyrov PSU.

On this day friends, colleagues and students from all over Kazakhstan, including representatives of the scientific community and educators came to congratulate Yengilik Okserbaevna. The honorable guest of the evening was the teacher and mentor Tazhibay Shaimerdenov.

The head of the Personnel Department of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alibek Shokparov handed Yengilik Oserbaevna the badge "Honorary Worker of the Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan", as well as the welcome address from the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Sagadiev.

Expressing gratitude for the years of acting rector PSU, Vice-rector for science and innovations, Doctor of Biological Sciences, professor Nurlan Yerzhanov, noted that Yengilik Zhumataeva was among the first scientists who laid the scientific basis for ethno-pedagogy in Kazakhstan.

"Brightness and uniqueness of character, your emotional and spiritual wealth, creative activity and desire to share your experience and knowledge are a role model for a generation of young scientists and teachers of Kazakhstan",  Nurlan Telmanovich said.

Yengilik Oserbaevna is the author of 40 monographs, more than a dozen textbooks. Scientific activity was highly appreciated at the All-Union and republican level. This is confirmed by numerous awards, including the badge "Outstanding worker of public education of the Kazakh SSR", the medal named after Y. Altynsarin, a gold medal for the contribution to the development of Kazakh language of the International Society of the Kazakh language "Ana tili", election as corresponding member of the International Academy of Sciences of the Pedagogical Education of the Russian Federation and the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Kazakhstan and many others.
