Co-director of Institute Sorbonne-Kazakhstan - Madame Marie-Anne Serve visited S.Toraighyrov PSU.

The guest of honor visited our university and at a meeting with students presented information about Institite Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute and training opportunities.

It should be specially emphasized that "Sorbonne - Kazakhstan" is the first French university in Central Asia. The opening ceremony in December 2014 was attended by the Presidents of Kazakhstan and France, Nursultan Nazarbayev and François Hollande.

According to Akmaral Kairbayeva, the director of the International Cooperation Department of PSU, Kazakhstani-French cooperation in the field of education is expanding and deepening every year.

"I can say this with confidence, because only this year our university reached an agreement with the University of Perpignan, with the Bureau Campus France Astana. In addition, last year the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to the Republic of Kazakhstan, His Excellency Francis Etienne opened the Center for French Language and Culture at PSU.

In my opinion, the recent visit of the Adviser for cultural and cooperation affairs of the French Embassy in Kazakhstan Mr. Guillaume Kasperski, played an important role in facilitating the cultural dialogue between our university and the French educational institutions through the organization of linguistic, scientific, cultural and other exchanges. Our students at the center of multilingual education are trained by the teacher of the University of Bordeaux III - Tristan Senny Palany. I think that this cooperation certainly contributes to the popularization of the French language and francophone culture in the Republic of Kazakhstan", - said Akmaral Kanatbekovna.
