At PSU arrived Tomas Zdrahal, Doctor of Mathematical sciences, professor of university Palacky in Olomouc (Czech Republic).

The visit is organized within the framework of the “Erasmus +” program. Lectures of visiting professor devoted to the theory of functional equations.

Speaking of teachers and students of PSU, Tomas Zdrahal noted their professionalism, as well as cravings for science at the future mathematicians.

The professor pointed out that at the present time mathematics falls from favor, "Students do not want to study it. Today the whole world is talking about money and business, forgetting the fact that it all starts with the "queen of the sciences." But it comes to the point that even the economists do not have a theoretical knowledge of mathematics. I think that love to science, including mathematics, should be taught from school years", - said Tomas Zdrahal.
