The team of S. Toraighyrov PSU has won the third place at the VIII National Olympiad held in Almaty.

The honor of PSU in the intellectual contest was defended by Daniyal Nygmetolla, Dina Anassova and Akmaral Yermanat. 

According to the team leader, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Professor Serik Alikbayev, the Department of Journalism of PSU comprises a large number of winners of National Olympiads. 

“The competition was a real challenge and a great victory for the students. An important point is that the Olympiad allows to find talents in different parts of the country. Despite the fact that our students haven’t become the absolute winners, the Olympiad has significantly heightened students’ interest in their future profession,” said Serik Toleubayevich. 

The participants from 13 teams were offered to complete a comprehensive writing task in journalism and to present creative works in the following categories: “Best Photo”, “Best Video”, “Best Online Publication”.
