A meeting of students and an outstanding Kazakh cinema actor Alimgazy Raynbekov was held at S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University

The 100th anniversary of Shaken Aimanov, a Pavlodar cinema luminary, has been celebrated recently. This original director shot an amazingly kind film “Angel wearing a skullcap” (Angel v tyubeteyke). Alimgazy Raynbekov played one of the main roles. It should be noted that A. Raynbekov was not a professional actor; he appeared in his first film, while being employed in farm work.

He was working as a driver on a state farm, when he was invited to play a movie role in the “Song’s Wings” (Krylya Pesni) in 1965, having been sighted at a sport competition. Viewers memorized the flamboyant character of a teacher Taylak that A. Raynbekov portrayed in the film, having imbued it with his personal charisma.

The film “Angel wearing a skullcap” is going to celebrate its 60th anniversary soon, it still retains its popularity and it resonates both with the older and younger generations.

The actor shared the interesting moments and the ups and downs of his acting career with guests of the meeting. It should be noted that despite turning eighty this year, A. Raynbekov has preserved great cheerfulness and indefatigability. Alimgazy Raynbekov advised the younger generation to persistently go after their dreams and achieve them through honest labor, step by step. A. Raynbekov, whose career has run the gamut from working as a driver to becoming a famous actor, exemplifies the meaning of hard work.
