A meeting on clarification of the law on commercialization of research results was held at S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University.

Leading scientists of S. Toraighyrov PSU, representatives of the akimat of Pavlodar oblast, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Department of Industrial and Innovative Development of Pavlodar oblast, directors of enterprises and entrepreneurs took part in the event. 

When introducing guests, the rector of S. Toraighyrov PSU, Doctor of Political Sciences Aryn Orsariyev drew attention to the fact that “the issue of commercialization of research results is one of the priority areas of HEIs’ activity nowadays”. 

While delivering her address, the deputy chairman of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Lazzat Kussainova noted that “the law pursues the goal of increasing the effectiveness of the domestic scientific sphere and developing high-quality production in focus areas of economy. “Inventions of PSU scientists have essential potential, in order that these technologies are commercialized and high economic benefits are received from their implementation. The law aims at boosting the financial motivation of all participants of the commercialization process,” said Lazzat Abayevna. 

Beket Aligozhin, a doctoral student of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, delivered his speech in the formal part of the event. Mr. Aligozhin touched on the issues of intellectual property and answered audience questions. 

Besides this, guests visited Yertis Science and Technology Park of S. Toraighyrov PSU, where the presentation of innovative inventions of the University’s scientists in the spheres of electrical and heat power engineering, agrotechnology and microbiology, machine building and other advanced subject areas was held.
