The Bayantau Holiday House located on the shore of Lake Sabyndykol hosted the Summer School in Physics dedicated to the 55th anniversary of S. Toraighyrov PSU.
The 8th Summer School was held by the Faculty of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technology of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University. It has already become a tradition for the Faculty to hold physics schools in summer and mathematics schools in winter since 2004.
The Summer School in Physics was chaired by Professor of the Department of Technical Physics at L.N. Gumilyov ENU, Doctor of Physico-Mathematical Sciences Sadriten Tleukenov. He delivered interesting lectures on wave processes in anisotropic media.
Among the guests and lecturers of the School were a NAS RK Full Member, Doctor of Physico-Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Gakhil Ualiyev, and Professor Serik Kumekov. They read lectures on analytical mechanics and machine science, theoretical foundations of physics and nanotechnology.
The Summer School in Bayantau has already become a well-known brand. It is widely recognized by the scientific community in our country. “Many eminent physicists begin their path in science from such schools. Wonderful climatic and natural conditions of Bayanaul provide a great setting for the school that can become a major center for physical education and science,” says Doctor of Physico-Mathematical Sciences, Professor of K.I. Satpayev KanNTU Serik Kumekov.
In addition to lectures, workshops and round-table conferences, participants of the Summer School also took part in sports competitions in volleyball, chess and table tennis.
Undergraduate and postgraduate students also conquered the peak of Mount Akbet, walked all the way from Lake Sabyndykol to Lake Zhasybay, visited K.I. Satpayev museum and Lake Toraighyr.
According to the Dean of the Faculty of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technology, Nurlybek Ispulov, students had a chance to relax and make new friends. The Bayantau Holiday House is situated on the shore of a picturesque Lake Sabyndykol. There is a beach on the shore and a relic pine forest with spring creeks running from the mountain crevices. But it is the lectures that made this School really unforgettable. “Students always like to work with real masters of science. Such lectures stay in memory for life,” says Nurlybek Ispulov.
All participants received certificates of participation in the 8th Summer School in Physics.
