S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University and Dutch Academic Services signed a memorandum on cooperation within the framework of SPAIID-2 (State Program of Accelerated Industrial and Innovative Development for 2015-2019).
S. Toraighyrov PSU is one of the ten HEIs of Kazakhstan involved in the implementation of the new economic policy (Nurly Zhol) and the State Program of Industrial and Innovative Development for 2015-2019. Pavlodar State University is responsible for training specialists in two areas: metallurgy (ferrous metallurgy, nonferrous metallurgy, and metalworking) and petrochemistry (oil refining).
The memorandum was signed by Aryn Orsariyev, Rector of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, and Marc van den Muyzenberg, Director of Dutch Academic Services.
The parties agreed to cooperate in the field of education and research by carrying out such activities as working on joint research projects, implementation of a joint program of external academic mobility for staff members, interchange of scientific publications and teaching materials, joint scientific publications (research papers, monographs and textbooks), etc.
The memorandum is also aimed at strengthening cooperation in such areas as inviting lecturers from leading universities, receiving consulting services from foreign experts, holding training sessions and workshops featuring well-known scientists and the world's leading experts in the field of oil refining, metallurgy, IT, management, business planning, start-ups, as well as carrying out examination of educational programs and physical infrastructure.

I've been working with many organizations here in Kazakhstan for about 20 years, and I known that PSU is a university with energetic, goal-oriented and ambitious management and academic staff. You realize how important it is to help students become sought-after specialists, so you are constantly working on the improvement of your educational programs,” said the guest from the Netherlands.
“I know that PSU is a well-known university in Kazakhstan. Besides, you have been chosen for the participation in the State Program of Industrial and Innovative Development, which is another confirmation of your high status,” said Marc van den Muyzenberg.
