On March 30, 2015, the scientific community of Pavlodar celebrated the birthday of Abylkhan Karakayev, a famous scientist and a talented educator.
This year, Doctor of Engineering Sciences, Full Member of the International Academy of Informatization, Honored Worker of Education, Professor of the Department of Transportation and Logistics of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University Abylkhan Karakayev celebrates his 75th birthday.
Akim of Pavlodar region Kanat Bozumbayev sent a letter of appreciation, where he noted the many years of hard work, social activity and high professionalism of Abylkhan Karakayev, who has made an invaluable contribution to the development of science in Kazakhstan.
Acting Rector of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor Arman Akishev congratulated Abylkhan Karakayev and emphasized that his research findings help save fuel, metal and energy in the production of fuel systems and diesel engines, as well as reduce the time necessary for their designing and manufacturing. “We are proud of the fact that Professor Karakayev has been dedicated to science and his home University for over 50 years. He is a perfect example of exceptional professionalism and integrity. He is among the very few people who are entirely focused on science and who treat science as the meaning of their lives,” said Arman Akishev.
Professor Karakayev's brilliant victory at the Innovation Boost national competition of innovative business plans was one of the main events of 2014 for the entire region. This tremendous success is yet another evidence of his intellectual and spiritual power and the courage of his engineering thought.
Abylkhan Karakayev is the author of more than 1,000 scientific, educational and other publications, 3 monographs, and 20 study guides. He has 90 author's certificates and patents of the USSR, RF and RK (25 patents, 16 provisional patents, and 20 innovative patents of the RK).
A. Karakayev was listed in the Golden Book of Honor of the Kazakh SSR for achievements in research and teaching. He was awarded the title of an Honored Worker of Education of the RK and the award for Contribution to the Development of Science in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Besides, A. Karakayev was twice elected Researcher of the Year at S. Toraighyrov PSU. In 2007, he won a grant and the title of The Best University Lecturer from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In the same year, he won a grant and received a diploma at the regional competition of innovative projects. Three years later, in 2010, Abylkhan Karakayev was awarded S. Toraighyrov Gold Medal.
