The 2014 Student Talent Show contest was held at the Students' House of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University.

This competition is held annually in order to create conditions for realization of young people's initiatives and creative potential, contribute to the formation of a pro-active attitude, expand the range of students’ interests, identify and support young talents. The event was organized by the Student Council of S. Toraighyrov PSU.

Burkitbay Alkenov, the Director of the Students’ House, welcomed all participants of the competition and wished them good luck.

“Such competitions help us find talented students who can later represent the University in nation-wide competitions. I hope that the spirit of this competition will inspire you,” he said.

The competition was held in two categories. The vocal contest brought together the best singers of the University, while the dancing contest gathered some of the finest dancers.

Participants of the vocal contest demonstrated their vocal skills singing patriotic and lyrical songs. The dancers showed both national and modern dances. The audience enjoyed all performances.

Merkhat Aday and Ayzhan Zharimbetova won the main prize in the vocal contest by unanimous decision of the jury. Abzal Abdullayev and Azhar Sharipova received first place diplomas, Zhadyra Kokesh and Dinara Belgozhanova finished second, while Yerketay Abay and Sayanur Tursynali from the Foundation Faculty took the third place.

The JuSem dance team won the main prize of the dancing contest. Zhansaya Nauryzkhan received the first place diploma, while members of the Kulager team were awarded second place diplomas. Congratulations to the winners!
