Active members of the Kyz Zhibek club of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University participated in the ‘Girls Are the Nation's Treasure’ teleconference along with other branches of the Club located in other universities of our Republic.
Among the participants of this event, there were members of Kyz Zhibek from Kazakh State Women's Pedagogical University, Sh. Ualikhanov Kokshetau State University, Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda State University, and Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau State University.
The teleconference was aimed at reviewing activities of the Club's branches, exchanging views and experiences between members of different branches.
The ‘Girls Are the Nation's Treasure’ teleconference was timed to coincide with the 70th anniversary of Kazakh State Women's Pedagogical University. This university initiated the teleconference. It was also the first to establish a girls' club (Kyz Zhibek) aiming to educate girls on national traditions and worldviews. After that branches of Kyz Zhibek were established at other universitites.
During the teleconference, the branches presented reports on their activities, told about their achievements, and revealed plans for the future.
The PSU branch of Kyz Zhibek was established on September 16, 2013. Throughout the year, it has been carrying out informative, research and social activities. Special role in the Club's work is played by various events that help female-students become familiar with traditions, get answers to questions about the language, religion, national costumes and cuisine. Active work has been carried out within the Bilim+ project initiated by the University to improve students' religious literacy.
'We have held roundtable conference on gender policy, moral and aesthetic education of girls, seminars on future mothers' health, discussions on wearing hijab, etc. Besides, members of the Club provide support to orphans and elderly people, participate in various TV and radio programs,' said the Club's Chairperson, Head of the Department of the Kazakh Language, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Professor Ayman Zeynullina.
