The Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan Aslan Sarinzhipov visited S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University on February 19, 2014.

The University tour began at the alley with monuments of prominent figures in the field of science and culture of Pavlodar region, which is located in front of the main building of the University.

In the lobby of the main building, there was a presentation of the University informatization system, which includes the educational portal of the University, the e-Learning CDT multiservice informatization system, electronic document management system, information and telecommunications system of the University (information kiosks, video conferencing system, 19 interactive projectors, etc.).

Then, the Rector of Pavlodar State University, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Serik Omirbayev held a presentation of educational and research activities of the University for Aslan Sarinzhipov. In particular, the stands with scientific and technical developments and projects of PSU scientists, Regional Office of Innovative Projects, and an exhibition of innovative scientific research results were demonstrated to the guest.

Presentations of the following projects were given for the Minister: Designing Grain Storage Silos Using Innovative Technologies (performed by S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University (RK) in cooperation with I.I. Polzunov Altai State Technical University (RF); scientific supervisors: Candidate of Engineering Sciences, Professor K.Sh. Aryngazin (PSU) and Candidate of Engineering Sciences, Associate Professor V.S. Luzev (AltSTU)); Designing a Device Protecting against Phase Interruption and Supply Voltage Asymmetry (performed by S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University (RK) in cooperation with Tomsk Polytechnic University (RF); scientific supervisors: Doctor of Engineering Sciences, Professor A.N. Novozhilov (PSU), Candidate of Engineering Sciences, Professor V.I. Polischuk (TPU)); the Project of a Prototype of a Wind-driven Electric Plant with the Capacity of 4 kW with Anti-storm Protection (scientific supervisor: Candidate of Engineering Sciences, Professor I.A. Shumeyko).

Besides, Aslan Sarinzhipov visited mineral museum and science laboratories of S. Toraighyrov PSU.

Professor of the Department of Zootechnology, Genetics and Selective Breeding, Candidate of Biological Sciences Magash Ayatkhanuly showed the equipment of the animals biotechnology laboratory. Associate Professor of the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, Candidate of Chemical Sciences Eldar Kopishev demonstrated the laboratory of chemistry of nanostructured polymer hydrogels and nanoelectronics. Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences Toktar Bekseitov showed the laboratory of plant biotechnology. Head of the Energy Conservation and Technology research and production center, Doctor of Engineering Sciences, HAC Professor Boltabek Utegulov demonstrated the laboratory of energy conservation and technology.
