A flash mob dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhshtan was held in the alley in front of the main academic building of S. Toraighyrov PSU on December 13, 2013.

The flash mob was organized by the Students’ Union, Students’ Administration, Committee on Youth Affairs, the University branch of Students’ Alliance of Kazakhstan./p>

The purpose of the flash mob dance is strengthening peace and friendship among residents of the city, developing a sense of patriotism, teaching culture and values of the Kazakh people, as well as an active social life.

Student activists of S. Toraighyrov PSU took part in the flash mob: Jam dancing group, the Students’ union, Students’ administration, Committee on Youth Affairs, the University branch of Students’ Alliance of Kazakhstan. Total number of the participants: 60 people.

Student Rector of S. Toraighyrov PSU Gabit Khaviz noted: “We are proud of the achievements made during the period of Independence, and we know the high price paid by our fathers and grandfathers for the prosperity of our country”.

Both folk and modern dances were performed during this event: hip-hop, Karazhorgha, etc.

Owing to a wise, peace-loving, firm and consistent policy of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, it took our state just a little over 20 years to become respected and recognized all over the world.

“We, today's students, consider our generation special, as almost all of us are of the same age as our Independence. We grew up together with our young state. New schools, kindergartens, cultural centers, museums, sport centers, monuments, mausoleums, mosques and churches were built right before our eyes”, said Danat Bekzhasarov, a student activist of S. Toraighyrov PSU.
