A Gala Matriculation Ceremony was held for PSU freshmen at the Palace of Culture named after Yestay on November 19, 2013. The event was timed to coincide with the International Students’ Day.

S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University is the oldest university of Pavlodar region. It still remains the largest source of highly qualified human resources in Pavlodar region, and it is listed among the top 5 universities of our Republic.

From October 14 to 30, 2013, there was a competition among the faculties of the University. The most active faculties were awarded diplomas and letters of appreciation. The third place diploma and a prize for artistry were awarded to the Faculty of Energy Engineering and the Faculty of Metallurgy, Machine Building and Transport.

The Faculty of Finance and Economics won the second place diploma for non-traditional form of holding the event and its originality.

The first place diploma was awarded to the Faculty of Agricultural Technology.

The Faculty of Architecture and Construction won the Grand Prix and a laptop.

The Vice-rector for Development Strategy, Education and Social Affairs of S. Toraighyrov PSU, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor Arman Akishev congratulated the freshmen on the beginning of their student life. "A PSU student is a versatile, creative person. The University successfully hosts regional and national festivals and contests. Our Student Philharmonic has a number of creative teams. At PSU, there is a branch of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, Committee on Youth Affairs, student radio, debate club, Club of the Funny and Inventive, youth associations, labor unions, and sports clubs. So you can be sure that your creative potential will be developed at PSU, we will hear and support all your creative ideas", emphasized Arman Akishev.
