A meeting of members of the Council of Young Scientists under the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Leader of the Nation with students and teaching staff members of the University took place on November 18, 2013.

The purpose of the meeting is presentation of the activities of the Council of Young Scientists, annual competitions and events held by the Foundation, as well as explanation of the general rules for submitting documents and drawing up applications for grants from the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - the Leader of the Nation.

Chief Specialist of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Roza Yedigeyeva and a member of the Council of Young Scientists, the leading expert of the Center for Innovation and Technology at Ye.A. Buketov Karaganda State University, Candidate of Biological Sciences Aliya Atalikova took part in the meeting.

During this meeting, there was an open dialogue with teaching staff members and students of Pavlodar universities. The Foundation scholarship holder, 4th year student of the Faculty of Metallurgy, Machine Building and Transport Sagynysh Nurkimbayev represented S. Toraighyrov PSU.

The Vice-rector for Research and Innovation of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Nurlan Yerzhanov pointed out that, according to the initiative of the Head of the State, one of the key priorities for Kazakhstan is successful implementation of the Intelligent Nation 2020 project. Under this project, it is the younger generation that will form a new society who will create a new image of Kazakhstan in the new world. “I am sure that our students have enough desire and potential to make Kazakhstan a strong and prosperous state, one of the leading countries in the world with a high scientific potential! I am deeply convinced that today's meeting will help us make another layer in the foundation of a stable and bright future of our country!”, said Nurlan Yerzhanov.

At the end of the meeting, the books by an outstanding statesman and public figure, a prominent literary critic Ilyas Omarov were presented to the libraries of regional universities.
