Famous scientists from Hungary give a series of lectures for undergraduate and graduate students of S. Toraighyrov PSU from October 10 to November 3, 2013. They came to our University under the program of inviting foreign lecturers to PSU.
According to Acting Head of the International Cooperation Department Zhanna Matenova, the program of inviting foreign lecturers to PSU was organized to implement the international experience of teaching core subjects and achieve integration of local and international educational programs based on the best practices accumulated in the world pedagogical science.
Undergraduate and graduate students of the Faculty of Humanities and Education will attend the lectures by Etvas Lorand (Budapest, Hungary).
Professor Andras Zoltan told the students of the Department of Russian Philology about the urgent problems of linguistics and methods of linguistic research. Dr. Katalin Kro gives a series of consultations in the theory of literature. Professor of St. Clement of Ohrid University (Sofia, Bulgaria), Dr. Nikolay Nikov gives lectures in folklore and children's literature.
Professor Tamas Tompa told about the latest research in the field of clinical psychology and pathopsychology. The students of the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy emphasized the applied focus of these lectures. This prominent European scientist always chooses creative approaches in problem solving. The problems that he considers with his students do not have standard solutions.
The lectures on “Foreign Language for Academic Purposes” and “Mass Communication and International Relations” are delivered to the students of the Department of Foreign Philology and future journalists by scientists from Hungary Georgiy Mestsaros and Katalin Brozhik-Piniel.
Students of the Department of Philosophy and Culturology attend the lectures on the theory of mass culture by Professor Yerzhibet Tserekli.
The students and teaching staff members of the Faculties of Agricultural Technology, Chemical Technology and Natural Sciences will adopt the experience of their European colleagues in the field of organic chemistry, organoelement compounds, geology, biotechnology, and microbiology.
According to the head of the Department of Russian Philology, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Gulmira Kenzhebalina, it is the primary goal of higher education to meet the need of students for gaining the latest information in their respective fields. “Universities of Kazakhstan aim to achieve world-class education. Integration into the global educational space is the essential principle of the modern educational system development”, said Gulmira Kenzhebalina.
