A delegation from Toraighyrov University, led by Nurlan Medetov, Chairman of the Board – Rector, paid a working visit to the city of Ekibastuz, where they toured the production sites of enterprises within the railway cluster.
The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the production capacities, modern technological equipment, manufactured products, and specific features of production process management at the railway cluster enterprises, as well as to strengthen cooperation between the university and the region's industrial sector. Graduates of Toraighyrov University successfully work at these enterprises, making a significant contribution to the development of the industrial potential of Ekibastuz, the Pavlodar region, and Kazakhstan as a whole.
Specifically, the delegation visited the following facilities:
At the production site of "PROMMASH.KZ" LLP, the participants familiarized themselves with the manufacturing of railway infrastructure elements, including products for track superstructure and turnouts.
At "R.W.S. Wheelset" LLP, the processes for the production and maintenance of wheelsets for railway transport were presented.
At "R.W.S. Concrete" LLP, the delegation observed the production process of reinforced concrete structures used in transport and industrial infrastructure.
At "R.W.S. BINDING" LLP, the participants were introduced to manufacturing solutions related to the production of fastening elements and spare parts for the railway industry.
At the "Railcast Systems" LLP site, the delegation explored the casting production sectors and industrial solutions tailored for railway infrastructure needs.
Furthermore, the university representatives visited "Prommashkomplekt" LLP, where they viewed the manufacturing process of solid-rolled wheels and the technological capabilities of the enterprise.
The final stage of the working visit concluded with a highly productive round table discussion featuring Ivan Dychko, CEO of "Prommashkomplekt" LLP. During the meeting, the parties comprehensively discussed further strengthening the strategic partnership between the university and the industrial sector, expanding professional internship bases for students, advancing applied scientific research, systematically organizing industrial training, and implementing joint research projects.
Additionally, the priority areas of cooperation for training highly qualified engineering personnel meeting modern standards were defined, injecting new momentum into the industrial development of the region and establishing clear prospects for future collaboration.
