A National Networking Event of the C5+O.N.E. Cohort 5 program was held in Astana, bringing together more than 100 participants from various regions of Kazakhstan.
The event served as a platform for professional dialogue, exchange of experience, and the development of practical skills in the field of international cooperation. The participants were welcomed by the U.S. Ambassador in Kazakhstan, Julie M. Stufft, who emphasized the importance of the English language as a tool for economic development, expanding international ties, and strengthening professional interaction.
Among the participants were faculty members of the Department of Agricultural Sciences at Toraighyrov University — Zarina Kapshakbayeva and Akmaral Mukhamedzhanova. Participation in such international initiatives contributes to strengthening academic and professional connections, expanding interregional and cross-sectoral cooperation, and implementing modern approaches in educational and research activities.
The program included applied training sessions, development of English communication skills, and preparation for further work on business cases and presentation projects. The experience gained and the professional contacts established will contribute practical value for the further development of agriculture and biotechnology in Kazakhstan, as well as for enhancing the competitiveness of specialists in the context of science–industry integration.
Toraighyrov University expresses its gratitude to the organizers of the C5+O.N.E. program, American Councils for International Education, and the U.S. Embassy in Kazakhstan for creating an effective platform for professional interaction and exchange of experience.
