How to make Kazakhstan colleges progressive and their graduates competitive in the global labor market? The participants of the first forum of the Alliance of Colleges and ERG in which representatives of ToU took part, were searching for answer to this question
In order to modernize the system of training technical and professional personnel, ERG decided to form an alliance with colleges operating in the regions where the company operates. The alliance includes 14 educational institutions from Pavlodar, Aktobe and Kostanay regions. The honorary guests of the first forum of this large-scale union were Akim of Pavlodar region Abylkair Skakov and shareholder of the Eurasian Group Alexander Machkevitch.
At the meeting, which was held at Aksu College of Ferrous Metallurgy, they discussed trends and development opportunities in the field of VET. Rector of Toraighyrov University Yerkin Sadykov also spoke at the dialogue platform. He shared his experience in developing innovative educational programs with the forum participants. This work was the result of the introduction of the regional "Atlas of new professions", which was initiated with the aim of introducing relevant professions and specializations into the education system.
- We see that young people are interested in innovative educational programs. The number of enrolled students in two such programs launched this academic year has almost doubled. The task that we set ourselves during the development of innovative educational programs is to ensure that our students receive even better knowledge and competencies, - said the head of ToU.
Yerkin Sadykov also emphasized that cooperation with organizations of technical and vocational education is extremely important for Toraighyrov University. Considering that today the time of study is of great importance for everyone, especially for partner colleges, the university provides for reduced educational programs.
