Transfer of credits
1. Transfer of the Republic of Kazakhstan credits in credits of ECTS and vice versa is implemented on the basis of transfer ratio.
2. To transfer ECTS credits in credits of the Republic of Kazakhstan it is necessary to divide ECTS credits by transfer ratio depending on the content of 1 ECTS credit for each discipline:
Bachelors degree – within 1,5-1,7
Professional and Scientific-pedagogical Master’s degree – within 2-2,4
Doctorate degree – within 3,5 to 4,2
At the same time credits if formed as full units.
Labour-output ratio of term papers (projects) is a part of general Labour-output ration of the discipline.
To transfer the Republic of Kazakhstan credits in credits ECTS it is necessary to multiply the Republic of Kazakhstan credits by transfer ratio specified in point 2 depending on the content of 1 the Republic of Kazakhstan credit for each discipline.
These transfer ratios are used for transfer credits of theoretical teaching (taking into account audience employments and independent work).
3. To transfer other types of educational work it is necessary to carry out by analogy to point 2 with the followings transfer ratio:
Practise: educational – in limits from 0,5 to 0,6, pedagogical – in limits from 1 to 1,2, industrial – in limits from 2,5 to 3, research- in limits from 4 to 4,8;
Scientifically (experimentally) - research work of the undergraduate (doctoral candidate) – in limits from 4 to 4,8;
final attestation of student- in limits from 3,2 to 4,5.
4. ECTS rating scale included five positive grades (from A to E), FX grade that may corrected, and F grade without awarding credits.
5. Knowledge estimation system of the Republic of Kazakhstan based on grading-rating letter system of academic achievements estimation includes ten positive grades (from A to D) that allow earning credits and one F grade without awarding credits.
6. Transfer of the ECTS grades to grading-rating letter system of academic achievements estimation system is implemented according to appendices 1-2.
