International cooperation is one of the priorities of Toraighyrov University. It includes academic mobility of students and faculty, the implementation of international research projects and grant programs, the attraction of foreign students to study, as well as foreign lecturers and experts to give lectures and conduct seminars. implementation of joint educational programs, including double-degree programs, participation in international consortia, conferences and educational initiatives.
Academic mobility for students and faculty (faculty) is an opportunity to study and carry out professional activities in another higher educational institution of the Republic of Kazakhstan or abroad within the framework of joint educational and research programs, as well as special academic mobility programs.
Participation in the academic mobility program allows students to study for one (1) semester at leading universities in Kazakhstan and the world, and the teaching staff to carry out teaching and research activities at foreign and domestic partner universities.
In addition, within the framework of international programs, including the USCO, DAAD, Erasmus+, ITEC and others, students of Toraighyrov University have the opportunity to exchange academic and gain international educational experience on the basis of partner universities within the framework of the academic mobility program of the Ministry of Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The academic mobility program of the Ministry of Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan provides undergraduate students with the opportunity to study at a foreign higher education institution for one semester.
The ministerial grant covers the cost of round-trip flights, accommodation for up to 120 days, as well as medical insurance and visas.
Competitive selection of candidates for the award of a grant to the Ministry of Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan is held annually from February to April.
Depending on the request of the Ministry, the timing of the competition may be changed.

Erasmus+ (KA171) is an academic mobility program for students and faculty, funded by the European Union.
Participation in the Erasmus+ program contributes to the expansion of the academic and professional experience of students and faculty, increases the competitiveness of graduates in the labor market, and also provides an opportunity for intercultural exchange, the development and improvement of foreign language proficiency and the establishment of international professional contacts.
The name of the program comes from the name of the Dutch philosopher and humanist Erasmus of Rotterdam, who lived and worked in various cities of Europe in order to expand his horizons and gain new knowledge.
At the same time, Erasmus+ is an acronym that stands for "European Region Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students".
IMPORTANT: Candidates for the Erasmus+ scholarship program are enrolled on a competitive basis.
Requirements for candidates (Erasmus+ KA171):
The selection of candidates is carried out by the sending university together with the host partner university within the framework of the approved Erasmus+ project KA171.
The terms of academic mobility under the Erasmus+ KA171 program are, as a rule, from 2 to 5 months for students and from 3 to 90 days for faculty.
The duration of mobility is determined by the terms of the specific project and the agreement between the universities.
Participation in the Erasmus+ KA171 program is carried out within the established limits of academic mobility in accordance with the Erasmus+ rules.
The period of study completed at a foreign partner university is guaranteed to be recognized and counted by the sending university upon the student's return.
Erasmus+ participants are exempt from tuition fees at the host university, as all basic expenses are funded by the European Union.
Most students also receive a scholarship designed to cover the cost of living abroad.
For many participants, the Erasmus+ program is the first experience of studying and living outside their home country.
In this regard, the "Erasmus+ experience" is considered as a significant cultural and educational phenomenon, providing an opportunity not only to gain international academic experience, but also to establish intercultural and professional ties with students from different countries.
