On October 7, 2015 the international investment forum “Ertys Invest-2015” was held at S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University.

The akim of Pavlodar oblast Kanat Bozumbayev delivered his welcome speech to the participants of the forum.

The official part of the forum included keynote speeches from the minister of investments and development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Asset Issekeshev, the governor of Novosibirsk oblast Vladimir Gorodetsky, the chairman of the board of “Atameken” NEC Ablay Myrzakhmetov, the president of “Strategy Partners Group” Company Aleksandr Idrissov, the general director of the autonomous cluster fund “Innovative Technologies Park” Sanzhar Kettebekov and the chairman of the board of “Kazakh Stock Exchange” JSC Esszhan Birtanov.

Participants of the forum were provided with the unique opportunity to discuss future realization of the region’s investment potential in new economic conditions, development of transport logistic and energy infrastructure, the agroindustrial complex, and etc.

Also within the framework of the forum the exhibition of investment projects was held, where inventions of PSU’s scholars were presented as well.

The signing of a number of memoranda of cooperation between S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University and “Atameken” NEC of the Republic of Kazakhstan, “Damu” Entrepreneurship Development Fund” JSC and the autonomous cluster fund “Innovative Technologies Park” resulted from fruitful discussions. Within the framework of agreements reached it is planned to provide support for innovative initiatives of students and scholars and strengthening of cooperation in realization of entrepreneurial education. Besides this, agreements provide for development of mechanisms of innovative technological projects commercialization and formation of pools for technological startups.

At the meeting with members of the Scientific Advisory Board of the University Asset Issekeshev emphasized that PSU must become a regional knowledge center, which will maintain the atmosphere of creative thinking and innovativeness.

Asset Issekeshev called scholars of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University for considering their development with strong outlook to the future. In other words, it is necessary to choose those directions, in which there are no specialized enterprises in the region.

At the end of the meeting the minister of investments and development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Asset Issekeshev was given the title of Honorary Professor of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University.

Not only did the forum become a platform for the dialogue with foreign partners, and presentation of the country’s potentialities, but it also gave practical results in the form of development of a specific response plan on translation of scientific discoveries into the production process and global market entry of a domestic intellectual product.
