On September 28, 2015 the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aslan Sarinzhipov visited S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University.

The Minister’s tour to the University began with presentation of innovative projects of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, inventions in the sphere of electric and heat power industry, agrotechnology, microbiology, mechanical engineering and other perspective subject areas, and startup projects of the University’s students.

Aslan Sarinzhipov attended the online webinar titled “Incubation of business ideas”, which was moderated by the leading expert of Silicon Valley (Santa Cruz, California, the USA) Aleksey Krol.

Then, Aslan Sarinzhipov conducted the second regional Informal Networking Conference with alumni of the Bolashak international scholarship program. 70 graduates of the Scholarship, the academic staff members of the University participated in the event.

At the Informal Networking Conference participants discussed the main directions of development of the country’s system of education and science, opportunities of its export potential and new initiatives of the Bolashak Scholarship Program in terms of implementation of the 100 Concrete Steps Program, called the Nation’s Plan.

In the course of discussion the Minister of Education and Science answered all questions of graduates of the Scholarship, and emphasized the role of holders of the prestigious presidential scholarship in realization and promotion of “Mangilik El”.

Besides this, Aslan Sarinzhipov visited the University’s Yertis Science and Technology Park, the Support Center for International Programs, which was recently established at PSU, and the informational center NATD JSC.

During the visit the Minister of Education and Science represented a new Vice-rector for Academic Work of the University. Gaukhar Akhmetova, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, the graduate of the Bolashak international scholarship program, the former head of the Department of Philosophy, Social and Human Disciplines of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University (2005-2015) was appointed to this position.

Also Aslan Bakenovich got acquainted with the process of construction of a student dormitory designed for 500 places.

Meeting with the members of the University’s academic council, the Minister of Education and Science emphasized that scholars and teachers fulfilled the main role in cultivating the ability of young specialists to meet the challenges of modern day. “We cannot withstand competition in the region and the world without competitive employees and universities. At the present time we have a few projects and programs launched, whereby we would like to support your University. In particular, S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University has been included in the list of ten higher education institutions of the State Program of Forced Industrial and Innovative Development. This program will let your University reach a new international level, so as to make the key university become the generator of economic development of the region”, said Aslan Bakenovich. Also the Minister of Education and Science expressed confidence that the program would bring upgrade opportunities to the University.

At the end of the meeting the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Aslan Sarinzhipov was awarded the title of an Honorary Professor of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University.
