Aida Samiyeva, a Master's degree student from the Faculty of Public Administration, Business and Law of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, is having an internship at Ateks Otomotive San. Tlc. Ltd. (Turkey) under the IAESTE program.
PSU has been a member of the International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE) since 2003. Under this program, students can have internships in Austria, Australia, Great Britain, Sweden, Switzerland, Hungary, Germany, Japan, Finland, Turkey, and the Czech Republic. IAESTE organizes internships for students majoring in mechanics, mechanical engineering, computer and oil technologies, fundamental and applied science, architecture, ecology, and light industry.
Under this program, Bojana Djordjevic (University of Belgrade) and Vojtech Koralka (Czech Technical University) are having an internship at the Faculty of Architecture and Construction of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University.
Starting from 2012, there has been another international educational project at PSU, English Language Fellow, financed by the Federal Government, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, Georgetown University, USA.
Under this program, Irwin Pezhman, Master of Education, was invited to work as a lecturer at the Department of Foreign Philology in the 2012-2013 academic year. In 2014-2015, Harry Leeds, Master of Arts, worked at the Department of Foreign Languages and Translation Studies.
Andrea Seeley, a volunteer from the USA, teaches free English courses to PSU students held by Orken-Pavlodar NGO and the Department of International Cooperation. After completing the course, each student gets a certificate.
S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University has an extensive and versatile international cooperation with offices of international organizations and foreign foundations, diplomatic corps accredited in Kazakhstan, and actively cooperates with leading foreign universities and research centers in many countries of Europe, America and Asia.
The University develops international cooperation in several directions - scientific, educational, cultural, and informational.
This multifaceted cooperation takes place in various forms: students and teachers exchange, inviting foreign professors to give lectures and consultations, research internships for lecturers, joint research work on projects, organization of conferences, workshops, supervision of PhD theses, internships for undergraduate students with subsequent admission to Master's degree programs, joint summer and winter schools, etc.
PSU has a long history of successful cooperation with DAAD, German Academic Exchange Service. Every year students go to Germany for language courses, receive scholarships for Master's degree programs. Members of PSU's academic staff conduct research in Germany.
Pavlodar State University has also established partnership with Goethe-Institut and the British Council in the field of education and culture.
S. Toraighyrov PSU is actively developing academic mobility of students and academic staff. Every year over 40 students from PSU study at the best universities of the world. Under the MES program for inviting foreign specialists to RK universities, PSU annually invites over 60 lecturers from universities of Europe, USA, Canada and Great Britain.
