Members of S. Toraighyrov PSU held a meeting with prospective students of Irtyshsk area in secondary school 3 of Irtyshsk village on May 23.
The meeting in Ityshsk was the last one held by the Foundation Faculty under the Open Days program in 2014. Working in close cooperation with the regional and local Departments of Education, members of the Faculty held 15 meetings with prospective students, including 5 meetings at PSU (for school-leavers from secondary general and specialized schools of the city of Pavlodar, as well as for prospective students from Pavlodar, Uspenka and Lebyazhye areas and participants of the regional academic olympics) and 10 away meetings. Total number of students who have attended such meetings this year is 3,294. Besides, for the first time in its history, the University held a meeting with employees (parents of prospective students) of Aluminum of Kazakhstan JSC, one of the largest companies of our region.
Prospective students from Irtyshsk area saw a video about one of the largest universities of our region - S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University. An opening speech was delivered by the Dean of the Faculty of History and Law, Candidate of Political Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Jurisprudence Amergaly Begimtayev who was born in Irtyshsk area. He wished good luck to all school-leavers who are to take CNT this year and urged everybody to join one of the leading universities of Kazakhstan.
Doctor of Pedagogic Sciences, Professor of the Department of Physics and Instrumentation Kulyash Nurumzhanova told about the admission rules and achievements of S. Toraighyrov PSU.
Dulat Zhumadilov, a third year student majoring in Tourism, told about his experience of participating in the Academic Mobility program.
Vivid performances by soloists of the Melody duet, Jam modern dance studio, soloist of the Student Philharmonic Asel Kulzhanova and Pavlodar Zhastar Kuramasy KVN team helped create the right atmosphere for the occasion.
At the end of the meeting, Deans of Faculties, Heads of Departments and leading members of the University academic staff held consultations for prospective students and answered all their questions.
