T. Sadykov Regional Center for Political Studies of S. Toraighyrov PSU in cooperation with the regional branch of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan held a scientific seminar on Interethnic Harmony and Ethnopolitical Stability As the Most Important Conditions for Formation of a Unified Civil and Political Community.

The purpose of the event is ensuring interethnic harmony in the Republic of Kazakhstan in the process of formation of Kazakhstan's civic identity and competitive nation on the basis of Kazakhstan patriotism.

During the seminar, there was a presentation of the book “Ethnopolicy of Kazakhstan at the Present Stage”. Director of the Regional Center for Political Studies named after T. Sadykov, Candidate of Historical Sciences Nurken Kuzembayev said in his speech that among the authors of the monograph and people who took an active part in its publication are leading scientists of Pavlodar State University, Professors from Astana, Almaty, and representatives of the regional branch of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan: Rector of S. Toraighyrov PSU, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Serik Omirbayev; Doctor of Pedagogic Sciences, Professor Gabit Irenov, Doctor of Political Sciences Arman Akishev, Doctor of Philosophical Sciences Gulmira Bilyalova, and Candidate of Historical Sciences Nurken Kuzembayev.

The Vice-rector for Development Strategy, Education and Social Affairs of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor Arman Akishev noted in his opening speech that PSU carries out systematic work on prevention of interethnic conflicts. ‘The Department of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan was established at PSU on March 1, 2014. There's no doubt that this will help us in teaching the culture of tolerance and deep respect for the principles of national unity and social harmony to the younger generation’, said Arman Akishev.

The seminar was attended by experts in the field of ethno-political and interfaith relations, representatives of ethnic and cultural associations of the regional branch of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan.

Head of the Department of Political Science and Sociology, Candidate of Political Sciences, Associate Professor of S. Toraighyrov PSU Ildar Kaliyev addressed the issue of inter-ethnic conflicts and their solutions, Head of the Department of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor of S. Toraighyrov PSU Gulfayrus Zhapekova made a report on strengthening the national unity in the context of globalization, Deputy Chairman of the regional branch of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, Candidate of Economic Sciences Seysenbay Zhetpisbayev told about the effective mechanisms for implementation of the state ethnic policy, Director of the Regional Scientific and Practical Center for the Study of Interethnic and Interreligious Processes of S. Toraighyrov PSU Nurzhamal Tyshkanova addressed the problem of civic stance of the youth.
