Celebration of the Day of the Faculty of Humanities and Education took place in the concert hall of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University on May 22, 2014.
The Faculty of Humanities and Education includes 8 departments: Department of Russian Philology, Department of Kazakh Philology, Department of Performing Arts, Department of Psychology and Pedagogy, Department of the Kazakh Language, Department of Journalism, Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies, and Department of Foreign Languages. The Faculty has 8 Doctors and 53 Candidates of Sciences. Members of the Faculty have more than five hundred publications on the cultural heritage of the Republic of Kazakhstan, main trends in the field of philology, pedagogy, psychology, and art.
The celebration program began with a round table meeting devoted to Doctor of Philological Sciences, folklorist Bekmurat Uakhatov. The event was organized by the Department of Kazakh Philology.
The main part of the celebration took place in the concert hall of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University.
Deputy Dean for Education Affairs Ayman Nurgazina congratulated all members of the Faculty on behalf of the Dean's Office. She wished them every success in research and creativity. 'It has already become a good tradition to celebrate this holiday. This year we celebrate the 10th anniversary. There's no doubt that we are proud of our talented students and alumni,' said Ayman Nurgazina.
Students of the Faculty of Humanities and Education actively participate in regional, national and international conferences, win many awards, and have many achievements in the field of academics, science and art. This is evidenced by the first prize in Pedagogy and Russian Philology, second prize in Foreign Language, third prize in Psychology, the Kazakh Language and Social Work.
Students and members of the Faculty helped create the right atmosphere for the occasion: lecturer of the Department of Perfoming Arts Gulzhan Anisheva, soloist of the Student Philharmomic, the Golden Voice of PSU, Asel Kulzhanova, and students of the Faculty: Viktoriya Kudrina and Zeynep Tokpanova, laureate of international competitions Pavel Graf, Rashid Alisher, Aydyn Meyramov and Musa Kutmanov. The KVN team, jazz ensemble and the Grace dancing duet also performed at the event.
