An official opening ceremony of the higher school in history called “Altyn Mura” was held in S. Beysembayev Scientific Library of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University on May 14, 2014.
Altyn Mura was established by S. Toraighyrov PSU students majoring in History in support of the program called “The People in the Flow of History” initiated by the Leader of the Nation N.A. Nazarbayev. It was established in cooperation with the Department of the History of Kazakhstan of Pavlodar State University.
The idea of establishing a historical school was proposed by Rasul Kilash, a student of the Faculty of History and Law. Scientific supervisors of the School: Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of History of Kazakhstan Kayrat Battalov, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Aliya Moldakimova, and senior lecturer Aslan Azerbayev.
The main purpose of Altyn Mura is study and analysis of the little-known problems of the domestic history. The school has 14 experts.
According to Kilash Rasul, this school aims to develop innovative technologies for making the process of studying history more accessible, bring it closer to the people.
'I am glad that the ruling groups are aware of the problem of historical interpretation, the need for a systematic study of the historical path of our people to independence, the need to substantiate the consistency and historical implications of Kazakhstan's statehood,' - said Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of Department of History of Kazakhstan Kayrat Battalov.
This idea was supported in Aslan Azerbayev's speech. ‘Preparedness of our country for the challenges of globalization and the needs of the global market is the result of the right policy of the President based on the moral potential of the people capable of finding the right direction. One of the most topical problems now is the problem of integration and preservation of the national identity at the same time. Therefore, development of the History of Independent Kazakhstan as a separate branch in historical science is urgent', said Aslan Azerbayev.
