The event was organized by S. Beysembayev Scientific Library of S. Toraighyrov PSU.
The ideas of patriotism, humanism and tolerance are reflected not only in the modern culture and literature; their origin can be traced back to the depths of national folklore. So many kuys and poems about hero-batyrs, love and hatred, good and evil were written! These ideas were continued in the works of great akyns and famous educators: Abay Kunanbayev, Shakarim Kudayberdiyev, Chokan Valikhanov, and Ibray Altynsarin. Their works became an important stage in contemplation of life and art, contributed to further development and enrichment of people's culture. Although they lived in previous centuries, their thoughts, humanistic and patriotic ideas, deep and versatile research of Kazakh people's life are still relevant nowadays. Every subsequent generation has its own vision of the priceless works by these great people and discovers new values in them.
Many problems from Abay's ('Be a person!') and Shakarim's ('What is a person?') works were considered during the event. A person must be guided by the laws of reason and beauty, therefore, it is necessary for us to study sciences, work hard, and improve ourselves spiritually.
Diligence, thirst for knowledge and inquisitive mind, awareness of one's human dignity and courage to have one's own opinion, the ability to fight injustice and resist evil, live in peace and harmony - those are the traits that Abay Kunanbayev, Shakarim Kudayberdiyev, Ibray Altynsarin, and Chokan Valihanov wanted to see in their people. These famous educators became a symbol of the unity of two largest Eurasian countries, Russia and Kazakhstan.
The event was prepared and conducted by the Department of Scientific Literature Gulzhan Amanova and members of the Department: Gulnar Musinova, Yelena Likhanova, Aliya Rustemova, Zhursilya Abildinova, Gulnar Kudaybergenova.
