20 projects performed by PSU scientists were presented at the Inter-Regional Innovation Forum entitled “Innovation as the Energy for the Future” on October 31, 2013.

The purpose of the Forum is development and selection of priority areas of formation and development of organizational and economic mechanisms of infrastructural and institutional support of regional innovation centers and clusters.

The Forum was moderated by the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Kazakhstan Industry Development Institute JSC Seytgali Galiyev.

The Forum was attended by the Akim of the Pavlodar region Yerlan Aryn, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden to Kazakhstan Manne Vengborg, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Kazakhstan Baik Joo Hyeon.

Director of the Regional Centre for Innovation and Technology Transfer at S. Toraighyrov PSU Sergey Smailov made a report on the role of innovation centers in the development of Kazakhstan's economy.

The President of the Institute of Chemical Sciences named after A.B. Bekturov, NAS RK full member Yedil Yergozhin, consultant of the Department of Science and Innovation Policy of the Tomsk Region Administration Natalya Artsemovich, Executive Director of the Siberian Open University association, Doctor of Physico-Mathematical Sciences, Professor Vladimir Demkin, the Head of the Department for Innovative Development of Altay State University Yuriy Ladygin, the Head of the Department of Science of Tomsk State University Ivan Ivonin, Professor of Lorand Etwas University (Budapest, Hungary) Karoly Marialigeti also made reports during this event.
