Members of the Board of Directors reviewed the performance results of Toraighyrov University and discussed pathways for the University’s further development.
First, the Board members familiarized themselves with ToU’s material and technical facilities. At the Faculty of Engineering, the delegation visited an operating laboratory in the metallurgical field and inspected a site where a new laboratory is planned to be launched. The Board of Directors also toured the mechanical engineering laboratory, the IT School, and the Mediker medical center.
At one of the dormitories, the delegation was informed about plans to equip separate rooms for international faculty members invited to enhance the quality of education.
In the University’s main building, the Board of Directors was presented with the work of the Admissions Office, the Center for International Cooperation, and the research laboratory of the Department of Electric Power Engineering. In addition, they visited several laboratories in the agrotechnological field and the laboratories of the Faculty of Natural Sciences.
During the in-person meeting of the Board of Directors, the University’s future development was discussed. Strategically, it is based on cooperation with business partners in workforce training and collaboration with international research institutes and universities. As part of the visit, Board members also held working meetings with faculty deans, heads of departments, and directors of administrative units. Together with ToU staff, they discussed key challenges and outlined the trajectory for the University’s further development.
