Dinara Shcheglova became acquainted with the university’s digitalization activities and held a meeting with the population of Pavlodar Region.
Twenty projects were presented to the Vice Minister, including those in the field of artificial intelligence. Among them were an AI agent for document monitoring and the ToU Document system, which optimizes the applicant admission process. The Vice Minister was also introduced to the AI Scientometer platform for analyzing scientific articles, the Tests Platform for self-preparation, the Medical Assistance Telegram bot, and an interactive AI game for IT career orientation.
Special attention of Dinara Shcheglova was drawn to the Neuro News project, developed by ToU students to generate news using AI. It has already become a winner of the Meta LLaMA Accelerator Kazakhstan program and includes inclusive features such as a voice assistant, text-to-speech, and contrast adjustment for people with color blindness. On behalf of the university, the project authors were awarded a certificate for 450 thousand tenge.
In addition, Dinara Shcheglova held a meeting with the population of Pavlodar Region. She familiarized them with the latest trends in science and higher education and emphasized the importance of implementing artificial intelligence in the educational process. The Vice Minister highlighted the nationwide AI-SANA project, through which 650 thousand students are expected to receive AI training. Of this number, 100 thousand will undergo a special training program with participation from international specialists. By the end of 2026, this initiative is expected to result in approximately 1,500 projects for acceleration.
Dinara Shcheglova also visited the laboratories of ToU, where research is conducted in various fields including agriculture, agroecology, chemistry, physics, and more. University scientists collaborate with representatives of the real sector of the economy and commercialize their scientific activities.
