Specifically for first-year students, the IT School of Toraighyrov University organized a thematic workshop.

The master class was held as part of AI Week in Kazakhstan. The course, designed specifically for students, was titled “Skills of the Future: Digital Literacy in the Era of Artificial Intelligence.” During the workshop, freshmen were taught how to use modern AI tools safely and effectively and were given a practical assignment involving neural networks.

“We live in an era where artificial intelligence is not a distant future, but already a key skill today,” said Aiman Shakleina, Director of the ToU IT School. “Our students, regardless of their major, should master it as confidently as their core profession. We aim to cultivate a generation that not only consumes but also creates products using AI. This is critically important not only for personal competitiveness but also for Kazakhstan’s digital sovereignty as a whole. Learning AI is an investment in the future that will pay off sooner or later.”

At Toraighyrov University, areas related to artificial intelligence are being actively developed. At the same time, key attention is paid to academic integrity. This ensures that students do not lose their critical thinking and independent learning skills. AI should become a tool for development, not a replacement for personal intelligence and effort.
