Toraighyrov University received a business visit from independent educational consultant Adeline Koh from Singapore, Hendra Rahardja, a representative of the international organization Global Service Sponsors from Australia, and Andrea Seely, a lecturer from the United States.

The guests were welcomed by the Rector of the university, Nurlan Medetov, who emphasized that ToU is always open to cooperation with international organizations in the interests of students and faculty. The delegation members noted that their main goal is to establish interaction between universities and international volunteers. Until now, Global Service Sponsors has primarily operated in countries in South and East Asia, as well as in Australia and New Zealand. The organization now plans to expand its activities in Central Asia, with Toraighyrov University being its first point of engagement in the region.

The meeting continued in the co-working center. Guests were introduced to the university’s history by Bibigul Akshulakova, Director of the International Office. She also shared information on how ToU collaborates with foreign universities and institutions. Andrea Seely, who has been working with Toraighyrov University for over 20 years, suggested discussing key challenges in the higher education system of Central Asia and identifying which foreign specialists could be most beneficial for Kazakhstani universities. The meeting concluded with an open dialogue, allowing each student and faculty member to ask questions directly to the guests.
