On the day of his visit, Elias Oppenrieder was given a tour of Toraighyrov University and met with the students.

At ToU, the First Secretary of the German Embassy visited the Archaeological Museum and the university library. He also toured the laboratories of the Faculty of Agriculture, whose students participate in exchange programs in Germany through Duela Nienberg.

In the co-working center, the guest was introduced by Board Member and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Renat Nurgozhin. Bibigul Akshulakova, Director of the International Office, presented how Toraighyrov University currently collaborates with foreign universities and institutions. Six German universities now cooperate with ToU through programs such as Bolashak, Erasmus+, Logo e.V., SES, DAAD, and Duela Nienberg.

Many students and faculty members of Toraighyrov University have completed internships and practical training in Germany. They shared their experiences and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to gain international exposure. Elias Oppenrieder himself previously studied in Poland through the Erasmus+ program, and he encouraged ToU students to take advantage of international education and internship opportunities.

During the visit, students had the chance to ask him various questions, including the demand for translators in Germany, how to apply for doctoral or postdoctoral programs, and the requirements for pursuing studies in theatrical or instrumental arts.
