The award ceremony for Kazakhstani universities included in the prestigious international ranking was held in Almaty.

The event took place at the S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University. QS Quacquarelli Symonds Chief Commercial Officer Jason Newman presented the awards, and the confirmation of Toraighyrov University’s inclusion in the ranking was received by the Rector, Nurlan Medetov.

Pavlodar’s university entered the 1400+ group of the world’s top universities according to the QS World University Rankings 2026. Despite high competition and a growing number of participants, ToU demonstrated positive progress across several key indicators.

Over the past year, Toraighyrov University improved its academic reputation through increased publication activity and expanded international cooperation. The number of research publications in peer-reviewed journals indexed in international databases also grew.

Positive results were also seen in international collaboration – the number of foreign partners and joint projects increased. In addition, the student-to-faculty ratio became more balanced, reflecting the quality of the educational services provided.

ToU’s inclusion among the leading universities demonstrates the systematic work of the university staff to enhance its international competitiveness. In the coming years, Toraighyrov University’s strategic priorities will focus on advancing scientific research, expanding academic mobility, and attracting international students.
