At the dialogue platform, an agreement was signed to establish a consortium of universities from Kazakhstan and Germany.

The platform, titled “Science and Education: Partnership between Kazakhstan and Germany,” took place at East Kazakhstan Technical University. Guests were welcomed by Sayasat Nurbek, Minister of Science and Higher Education; Nurymbet Saktaganov, Akim of East Kazakhstan Region; Monica Iversen, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Kazakhstan; Wolrad Rommel, President of the Kazakh-German University; and Akerke Abilaykhankyzy, Deputy Chair of the Committee for Higher and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. Toraighyrov University was represented by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Renat Nurgozhin and International Office Specialist Adinay Dulatova.

During the meeting, an agreement was signed to create a consortium of seven universities from Kazakhstan and Germany. The collaboration is expected to serve as a key platform for joint research in mining, energy, geology, and environmental technologies. Renat Nurgozhin congratulated the consortium members, noting that such a partnership opens new horizons for academic and scientific cooperation. In addition, the Vice-Rector of Toraighyrov University participated in the opening of the Alexander von Humboldt Interdisciplinary Center for Sustainable Development.
