From September 1, 2025 to May 30, 2026, Toraighyrov University is implementing the international educational project C5+O.N.E. Program in cooperation with American Councils for International Education, with the support of Ms. Deborah Robinson, Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Mission to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Timothy Gibson, Public Diplomacy Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Kazakhstan, and Mr. Maksat Koshkarbayev, Senior Program Officer of the C5+O.N.E. Project.

Toraighyrov University has successful experience participating in partnership projects between universities in the United States and Kazakhstan implemented with the support of American Councils for International Education. Previously, the university completed several similar initiatives aimed at developing academic cooperation, improving faculty qualifications, and introducing best international practices into the educational process.

From Toraighyrov University, participants in the C5+O.N.E. Program include Professor of the Department of Foreign Philology Kairbayeva A.K. and Senior Lecturer, Master’s degree holder Baitemirova M.Zh. During the summer period of this year, they took part in the National Training for Teachers and are now ready to conduct training sessions for the university’s teaching staff, administrative employees, as well as representatives of the business community of the Pavlodar region.

The program includes a training course of 180 academic hours. Upon completion of the course and successful fulfillment of all program requirements, participants will receive an official certificate. More than 50 university employees have already expressed interest in the program by registering and passing an English language proficiency test.

The project is funded by the U.S. Department of State and administered by American Councils for International Education with the support of the U.S. Embassy in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The C5+O.N.E. Program is designed for specialists in economics, business, and entrepreneurship and offers intensive English language training along with an introduction to American culture. The implementation of this initiative at Toraighyrov University will contribute to the development of professional and communication competencies, strengthen intercultural interaction, and expand opportunities for academic and career growth.
