Rector of TOU, Nurlan Medetov, visited the Eurasian Mechanical Plant (EMP) and discussed cooperation issues with the company’s Executive Director, Sagynish Nurkimbaev.

The Eurasian Mechanical Plant has been operating in the Pavlodar Special Economic Zone for less than a year. However, the enterprise already has regular clients, including major industrial companies from Pavlodar Region and other regions of Kazakhstan. EMP specializes in the mechanical processing of metal products for the energy sector, oil and gas industry, as well as ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy. The production facility operates several modern CNC machining centers manufactured in Spain and Germany.

According to Sagynish Nurkimbaev, the plant is currently in urgent need of machine operators, CNC technologists, and metrologists. This is not only a problem for a single enterprise — it affects all domestic metalworking companies. That is why EMP’s management initiated cooperation with TOU. The industrial company is ready to assist in training faculty members and senior students through specialized educational programs so that they can later prepare qualified personnel for the entire industry.

Rector of TOU, Nurlan Medetov, emphasized that the university is interested in such cooperation. It will allow the university to train specialists who meet the real needs of the labor market and significantly increase the attractiveness of educational programs for future students. The parties agreed to develop a training program for personnel, taking into account international experience, in the near future.
