Today, as part of an official meeting, the Chairman of the Committee for Atomic and Energy Supervision and Control, Yerzhan Yertayev, and the Head of the Department of Thermal Power Engineering, Professor Amangeldy Karmanov, discussed key issues related to staffing the region’s energy sector. The main focus of the talks was the strategy for training qualified specialists for thermal power engineering and related fields.

Participants of the meeting emphasized the need to strengthen collaboration with specialized universities, including Toraighyrov University, to align educational programs with the practical demands of enterprises. Yerzhan Yertayev noted: “It is important to adapt academic standards to the realities of the industry, implement modern technologies in education, and bridge the gap between theory and practice.”

Within the framework of the strategy, measures for modernizing educational courses for engineers, technologists, and specialized professionals were discussed. This will not only help prevent a shortage of qualified personnel but also ensure the sustainable development of the Pavlodar Region’s energy sector. Special attention was given to developing joint university–enterprise projects to enhance the quality of student training.

Following the discussions, the parties agreed to implement programs aimed at strengthening the region’s human resource potential. Professor Amangeldy Karmanov emphasized that such systematic work will form the foundation for long-term energy security and innovative growth in the sector.

The meeting marked an important step in forming a comprehensive approach to energy development, combining educational initiatives with the needs of the regional economy.

It is worth noting that Toraighyrov University trains personnel for this sector.
