The annual international scientific conference “XXV Satpaev readings” was held at Toraighyrov University, dedicated to Kanysh Imantaevich Satpaev – an outstanding Kazakh scientist, Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences, the first President of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR, and Academician of the USSR Academy of Sciences.

The opening address was delivered by the Rector of the university, Nurlan Medetov.
“Today, when we speak about the legacy of Kanysh Satpaev, we are not merely remembering a great scientist. We continue his work – striving to ensure that science in Kazakhstan develops, addresses the real challenges of our time, and remains a crucial guide for future generations. Toraighyrov University consistently follows a course toward the development of science, innovation, and education that meets the demands of the era. We are confident that it is within the scientific community that ideas capable of improving society are born. And this is precisely why the conference is held annually – so that scientists, young researchers, and students from different countries can unite efforts, share discoveries, and be inspired by new perspectives,” noted Nurlan Medetov.
The Satpaev Readings are a unique platform for discussing pressing issues facing Kazakh science, such as spring floods and inundations, which continue to concern residents of various regions of Kazakhstan.
Following the sectional sessions, the winners were awarded. The scientific papers will be published in the annual collection.
Approximately 1,500 papers were submitted for the competition, and a total of 36 sectional sessions were held.
